Chris,

NYU ‘27

Throughout our time working together, Mrs. Penny’s guidance and support were truly invaluable to me, and I am incredibly appreciative of the influence that she had on my life. In the brief time that I have known her, Mrs. Penny’s mentorship was a true blessing. Her invaluable advice and continuous support enabled me to overcome challenges and ultimately led to my achievements in the past year.  I’m grateful for the time she spent helping me with my essays, brainstorming ideas, and making sure everything was polished and ready to go. She always told me the truth, even when it was hard to hear, and I appreciate that honesty more than words can express. Even when I felt discouraged by the sheer number of obligations that I had, her consistent encouragement and support helped me maintain my concentration and motivation. She aided me in overcoming every challenge that I encountered, and with her guidance and support, I was able to accomplish my objectives. I am once again immensely grateful for her dedication and commitment to helping me achieve my goals. Mrs. Penny truly is an amazing mentor, and I’m blessed to have had her in my corner.

I met Penny a year ago while I was working on my US applications. Back then I felt lost. Navigating through various requirements, deadlines, and selecting the right institutions seemed like an impossible task. The whole process was stressful and I often ended up questioning my abilities. During this challenging period, Penny was my guiding light. From our first meeting, I could sense her dedication and I knew that I could trust her. Whether it was choosing the universities that were more suitable for me or crafting a compelling personal statement she was always by my side, answering my questions and finding ways to tackle every problem that arose. ( I honestly don’t know how someone can come up with effective solutions that quickly. I really admire her for that!). She was always straightforward and never failed to tell the truth, even if it might be difficult to hear. In a world filled with sugar-coated truths, having a person who provides unbiased feedback was really valuable for me. Her guidance not only shaped the content of my applications but also enriched my growth as an individual. If I had to repeat this journey again I know for sure that I would like Penny to be part of it. Thank you for being my mentor! I will always be grateful.

I worked with Penny on my US applications for two years and I still remember how anxious I felt the first time we met. Our regular sessions eased my worries as I knew I was in good hands. Her deep knowledge, support and experience allowed her to guide me in choosing the combination of universities best suited me. Everytime I entered her office, she would give me the perfect piece of advice (bringing me back down to earth when the universities I added got too extreme). I trusted her since I knew she was always looking out for my best interest. No matter how much she had going on, she always made time for me. Her intense willingness and abilities to help are unmatched and gave me the confidence to go through the entire process, from setting up my Common App account to pressing the submit button. But she is not just a college counselor. I will miss our long conversations about life, Taylor Swift and the best coffee shops. She instantly understood me and the essays we wrote perfectly represented me. They added a personal touch to my application, while also being extremely polished. Above all, I was extremely fortunate to have her by my side throughout the whole college application process and I can’t recommend her enough. Penny is the best and I could have NEVER done it without her!

When I started the college application process, I wasn’t sure where I stood. Living with dyslexia made school a constant challenge, and even though I was always the outgoing, talkative kid, I didn’t see myself as someone who’d stand out on paper. But Penny did. Along with my parents, she was the one who saw my strengths—my creativity, my drive, and the way I connect with people—and never let me forget them. From day one, Penny was there. Every call, every question, every tiny freak-out moment—I could count on her to respond, follow up, and show up with the right words. Our brainstorming sessions turned into real conversations that helped me figure out who I am. With her support, I found the confidence to write a book. And together, we wrote an essay that told my story exactly as it needed to be told. Thanks to Penny, I got into Tulane—my dream school. I’m starting this new chapter with pride and excitement, and yes, I’m saving her a spot at Mardi Gras. She didn’t just help me get in—she helped me believe I belonged.

Honestly Penny, I can’t thank you enough for your help and your support in the past 2 years. This journey was something new for me and you were there to help me in every step of the way, always telling me the truth, no matter how difficult it was to hear. With your assistance and guidance, my essay became truly one of a kind. You were always ready to help me for every obstacle and any challenge that I had to face, like the time I was anxious for my interview. Your notes and the mock interview that we did help me a lot. Thank you for being one of the best counselors one could ever ask for and I am sure that in the future we will keep in touch as I also consider you a friend.

I did not know Penny a long time, half year was enough for me to understand that she was the person I needed. I knew it from the first meeting that I could trust her, she had and incredible and so alive energy and confidence that reassured me that I had made the right decision by trusting her. Deciding to study in the U.S is a really difficult and long process with a lot of work and stress, deadlines and a lot of essays. But with Penny by my side helping me with every step of the application, guiding me making suggestions and always coming with creative ideas, this whole process was the opposite of nerve racking but instead I enjoyed working with her and deciding what colleges were the best fit for me. I remember every time that I had the most unimportant question she was always there replying instantly no matter the time. It could be late at night or even 7:00 in the morning. She always had everything ready to be submitted the moment I told her I need it something. I managed to submit the application on time even though the window was really narrow and all thanks to Penny for having an impeccable application ready and guiding me every step of the way. I’m so grateful that I had her by my side and I know deep in my heart that I could not have achieved to be in my dream college without her. Literally no words can describe her talent, her kindness and eagerness to help others. Thank you Penny!

At first, we had consulted with other professionals, but their approach did not meet our expectations. We eventually turned to Penny, and from the very first moment, she won us over with her responsiveness, expertise, warmth, and genuine, human-centered approach. She managed to translate my qualifications and experiences into a clear and targeted profile that led me exactly where I wanted to go. I am deeply grateful to have had her by my side whenever I needed support — she responded promptly to every question and filled every gap with complete success. Thanks to her help, I achieved my goal.
Thank you so much, Penny!

Penny’s help has been invaluable in helping me form a roadmap to my college application, helping me achieve my dream of being accepted into Columbia University to study Political Science. Approaching my college journey, I had been torn in thousands of different directions, unsure of what I wanted to study or how I would even begin the process of writing my applications. When we had started working together, I distinctly remember trying to figure out my common app essay, which at the time mirrored my frazzled mental state, and was a disjointed mess of conflicting stories and opinions. Penny has a remarkable ability not only to help students, but, more importantly, to understand them. After only briefly speaking to her, she had managed to pick apart my brain and organize my thoughts, helping me advance my writing and refine my application. Even through the phone, she put me at ease, her confidence and assurance seeping into me and quieting my worries. She never hesitated to help, and always pushed me to better my essays and strengthen my student profile. It has been an honor and a blessing to work with Penny, and I will forever be grateful for her help, guidance, and support.

The college application process has been a unique experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. The countless hours spent preparing and completing my application were deemed fruitful thanks to the advice and knowledge provided by Penny. The existence of a person with great experience and success in the process of college admissions was crucial for my success. So, for that reason and many more, I would like to thank you!
